at the top is "Hello Gast" means hello guest^^
klick that and then go to "registrieren" = register
fill out the form after that the main language should be english....only the subtitles ,wich are created by the users self in the signature forum 4 example.

any problems..i'm still here Smile

Heraclas...awesome!  The tutorial is great!  (I didn't find any misspellings or other grammatical atrocities.  Good Job!)

The final project is awesome!

Immo...the default language on the site is German.  If you roll over where it says "Hallo Gast" at the top, go to "Registrieren" and register.  You can set the language to English which will cover most of the language stuff, but not all of it.  There are lots of pictures though and this helps.  Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up Heraclas!  Awesome work man!

what ...really!
well ,that's what BK taught me!

Immo after the register it's easy....go to resources and use the forum search and search for the word "C4d"
and you'll find tons of useable c4d's.
the renders are great too!

Just have to say thanks again for posting these tutorials Herc...

I just tried the space one...followed the tutorial best I could, changing just a few things such as using linear burn on my planet brushes instead of a texture brush...

Wanted that gas giant look since I have a sort of large nebula in the background...

Only problem I encountered was making the planetary rings which I'll attempt again on another project...

But for now, here's the result of my first try...thoughts?

#15: Re: Tutorial Author: HeraclasLocation: Germany PostPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 7:54 pm
    —
this is...wow

i mean , it is your first try at this tut and you really need a long breath for that and maybe some more as the normal basic knowledge.
you did a great job there!

the only negative point is....

reduce the little stars in the BG and give your focal a bit more to the atmosphere of the "big planets" than it's good. darken the right hand planet a bit ,to make it more fit the rest of the picture.
one planet, as a dying planet in a nebula  (the dying planet creates the nebula effect) that would be great :)

KEEP IT UP NightWolf keep it up!

#16: Re: Tutorial Author: NightWolfLocation: New Jersey PostPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 8:31 pm
    —
Thanks bro...appreciate the feedback!  Very Happy

By reducing the stars, do you mean the ones I did with lens flare or just reduce the overall amount of visible stars?

Also, how do you like the side star clusters? When I made them I thought they could either be distant galaxies, or since they're near the "Wolf Nebula" that they could possibly be the formation of new planets...

#17: Re: Tutorial Author: HeraclasLocation: Germany PostPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 9:10 pm
    —
i mean the overall little stars.

the one at the left hand side at the top of the corner looks more far away as the other ones, bcuz the edge is darker and there are not so many little stars.....it's not so distracting as the one in the top right corner for example.
a great "detail" in this tag!

#18: Re: Tutorial Author: NightWolfLocation: New Jersey PostPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 9:38 pm

Yea I see what you mean...

Now that I've altered it a bit so that more focus is on the center nebula, it really comes together now...

Beforehand my eyes would wander the whole picture to take it all in...now they're drawn to a center point, then they slowly look outward to view the rest...

Let me know what you think of the alterations I did... Smile

thanks for the help i just have 1 more question how do i fix this error?

GIMP Message
Opening 'C:\Users\Acid8urn\Desktop\Heraclas-PSD Pack 1. (27.10.2010).rar' failed:

Unknown file type

#24: Re: Tutorial Author: NightWolfLocation: New Jersey PostPosted: Fri Jul 15, 2011 4:17 pm
    —
What you have to do first is open the .rar file and places the files into a folder...they're the same as .zip files...there are free programs such as WinRar that will open the .rar pack for you...

Then just extract them into a folder of your choosing...then when in Gimp or PS you just open the folder where you placed the .psd files and load them from there...

Smile

hehe lookin cool ,i like how the planets collapse, really good idea.
all you need to improve at the moment is your "blending" to make all the planets & space-ship more matching the whole pic.
-the colors need to match each other better
-the space-ship : the shadows and lights at it are not matching with the BG.....your lights in the BG are more milky and the light at the ship is very clear...

you know what i'll upload another PSD for you where you can see how i blend the cut into the bg and how i make my c4d's exactly fitting with the BG.

i upload this now.......take just a few mins...

i will as always update the first post with a Previe and the download links

As always thnx for the advice buddy...

What I wanted to really accomplish here was the whole planets smashing into each other thing...wanted to keep at the whole 'smudging' concept and it seems to have paid off...

And yea, I do tend to put various colors into my sigs...I had actually had the colors a bit more uniform when I used different photo filters but decided on a warm 85 filter...

Probably should've dimmed the center star as well...least the good thing is that I can now go back and revise...try a few different variations...  Cool
