Wars will come and go.....

The soldiers that defend our freedom will always change......

The only constant is the families that know the cost of freedom........

My father served in the US Army for 23 years, even at a young age I knew there may have been a day that he wouldnt come home.

In my eyes this is a very powerful video that pulled at my heart strings a little.

Darn, thought it was something helpful about the game. Though kudos to them for put Linkin Park on the first frame so I knew to hit the mute button first. That as a close one.

Please dont turn this into a like or dislike for the music.  Dont step on the meaning of the video.

The one for me is always Trace Adkins - Arlington
I don't listen to country, but that song is rough, makes me think of my grandpa and how he wasn't around to see me enlist

A few things on this...

First, I want to thank you Silent Wolf, as I have had several family members (traced back through World War I) and friends (first and second Gulf War) in the military, as well as myself (first Gulf War).  The song by Linkin Park and the video is very moving.

Second, I remember when I was a little kid looking back through my grandfather and great-uncle's stuff from World War II and just being in awe of the things they saw and did (grandfather for the Americans in Europe and great-uncle for the Germans on both the Western and Eastern fronts).  I think this is where my fascination comes for World War II (thus MOH and COD WWII versions).

Lastly, did I see the progression in that video correctly?  It looks like he was told his father wasn't coming home, then he joined the military, and eventually HE had to tell a girl that her parent was NOT coming home.  Talk about POWERFUL!!!

Again...THANKS Silent Wolf!!!

My dad and his 4 brothers all served.  4 Served in WWll. 1 was on ship to deliever his other brothers to the shores of Normandy All made it home. The youngest one was in Korea. The family still carried on. My 3 brothers and I all inlisted into each branch of the service. We were one all the lucky ones, We all came home to raise our familys.
I couldnt imagine what it would feel like to lose one. I dont really want to either. God Bless all the ones who serverd to keep our familys safe.
Thanks Silent Wolf. This was nice. Opened up my eyes to not take things for granted.

rockpapershotgun.com said that this was over the line(or something to that effect).  Its a "good" video(not sure how else to describe it TBH) but yea.

Awesome(or bad) that it hits home.  Personally I am a fan of the Rise Against song Hero of War.
