I think I can see something but have no idea what it would be. I could toss out a guess and say it was a Wombat but I have no idea what he looks like and I think he lives 10 hours north of you.

It's a hedgehog type of critter (Karma mentioned its name but that was early and I didn't have my coffee yet
) just under the fern to the right and just ahead of the dog. You can see the tan to dark grey spines coming from his back. His head and tail are buried in the ground.
