AMD threadripper

Ok i just found out that amd is releasing more ryzen chips a ryzen 3 which is lower spec than the current ryzen so a cheap chip but then their also releasing the threadripper (their name not mine) suspected to be 16 cores with 32 threads which is 4 times more than the I7 and running at similar speeds that thing once all the bugs are worked out will be insane

Now they just need to figure out why some setups are segfaulting gcc compiles.  But I will admit that chip is a beast (thinking of VM host, compiling code, or handling AV)   Besides the thread count, 64 pci-e lanes and quad channel ddr4.

one of those, 256gb ram, 8x ssd in a raid 10, and a pair of 8GB NVidia K2 Grid running XenServer - now theres a host that can do anything asked of it
