Hey guys. I'm at work right now but when I get home, I can lost what system I have currently. Off hand, I know I've got a gaming SSD and a RTX 2070 super.

I recently got a 32 inch 144hz monitor from a 27 inch 144hz and my system is running really slow now. I lowered the setting to lowest and it still doesnt run great. Want to keep the monitor but maybe time to upgrade the CPU and motherboard or ram.

What do you guys with monster computers recommend would give me the best boost? Again, I will grab my system info when I get home but if you have any ideas, let me know.

Thanks

I have had a AMD for the last several builds but I went with the newest Intel the last build. I have the i7 8700 and it works very well. JD has the latest AMD I believe so he can tell you about the new AMD's.

I also run it on an Aorus board which I like a lot as well. As for the Intel, I like it because it on the Aorus overclocks itself without me doing anything and maintains a safe margin so it's not too much.

As for RAM I have always went with Corsair and been very satisfied with it.

I also build my own PC's.  Question for you is, what CPU/RAM do you currently have?

My specs

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x

Ram: 16gb

GPU: Radeon 580

SSD: Samsungs 4 tb total including a single 1tb NVME

PSU: 1000w EVGA fully modular

Monitor: 32" Samsung 1080

Running all games on Ultra and get 80fps consistantly.

Orck, it appears to me, what you have should run MW very well.

Build:

Ryzen 9 3900x (12 core 24thread) running stock, I have 3 cores that clock 4.6ghz
ASUS Tuf Gaming X-570 Plus (WIFI)
Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC 3x Windforce
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200 (OC'd I forget how high it went)
EVGA Supernova 750 Gold G3 psu
Force MP300 128gb NVME M.2 (Boot)
Sabrent Rocket 1tb NVME M.2 (Games)
Sandisk 1tb SSD (Games that aren't FPS heavy)
Crucial SSD 1tb SSD (Apps that don't need to be one C:\)
Westinghouse 32" 144mhz 1440p

I love the 3900x. I run everything I play on ultra except for Raytracing and I hardly ever drop below 110fps. I would highly recommend looking at the 3950x or 3900x. Cr1m3 has the 3950x. Good luck on the build!
