So Tigerdirect just released the new FX series 6 and 8 core chips and the pricing seems like a bargain, anyways, I was wondering if I should stick with the reliable Phenom II X6 1100T (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7023169&Sku=A79-1100)

OR should I opt to the newest tech, regardless of lack of reviews for the product FX-6100 X6 (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=1239961&sku=A79-6100)

It should be noted that both are the same price, $200 CAD, and I'm going to be putting them in a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 MOBO

I've always stayed away from brand new tech. Going with something that has bunches of reviews is usually safe. But the temptation to get the newer thing is always a battle to fight against haha
I say that, not even looking at either chip. Perhaps someone with more direct experience will have a more informed answer

I guess i can wait a week, there should be reviews by then, but as of right now the Hex cores, the fx-8150 and fx-8120 are letting alot of people down and are running worse the 1100t is on alot of benchmarks.
