New egg has a refurbished 550Ti for $99.
Normally they run from $130-160. I usually stay away from refurbs because you can never know what you are getting.

It only has a 90 day warrenty that can be extended to a year for $10. No return only replacement.

Just wondering if anyone had thoughts about it.

I love refurbished items, as long as they are being sold or promoted by the vendor.  I get a little twitchy when its a "Refurb" item from a re-seller or whole seller.  On the other hand refurbished doesnt always means something that has been used, returned, inspected and resold.  It can also be something that sat on the self, never sold, needed to be liquidated, opened, checked out and sold for the first time.  Its basically a game of Russian Rulet.  I've purchased refurbished items in the past and have had no issues with any of them.

Thats just my two cents.

I will buy refurb depending on the type of item. I always stay away from things like hard drives, video cards, printers, stereo equipment. I know how hard I am on the stuff I own, so I have to assume others are just as bad.

If a video card lasts more than a few weeks, it'll likely last years (provided it's not abused, of course) I In my experience, if a GPU is a lemon, it'll be evident fairly quickly - well within 90 days.

Though the only refurb I've had was a HDD replacement,  replacing one known-to-be-buggy model with an exact dupelicate, so it also died in a few months... arg.
