Do you have enough RAM to disable page file completely? That that would the first thing I'd try to try and eliminate paging to/from the disk as a cause.

Anything reading and writing to disk can cause crippling bus bandwidth issues, so monitor processes disk activity.

This morning I rebooted with only needed services selected to run on start.  I then started my programs one by one all while watching the CPU graph in process monitor.  I got to where there were only a couple of things left, one of which I did not need running at all and the other I can't remember what it was.  I saw no spikes in CPU usage so I fired up BF3.  I was able to complete an entire round with no stuttering at all.  Even went something like 58-14 too.  So I wonder if I corrected the issue.  One of the processes I disabled was a USB 3.0 host monitor. I wonder if it was causing issues since it could never find any usb 3.0 devices.  We'll see how things run tonight when I get home I guess.

Well that will be an interesting thing to test.  My MB doesnt currently support on board USB 3.0 but i do have an add-in card for it.  I wonder if I add the card if it will fix some issues.  I know one of the updates that windows gave a few months back added USB 3.0 support.  I wonder if they just turned the service on, and left it that way.

Do you even have any USB 3.0 devices, Tet?  I do not, so I''ve had 3.0 on my desktop disabled since day one.

No, which is why I disabled it.
