I played Arma 2 on on single player on someone elses' machine and always though it'd be sweet for MP,. I've been watching ARMA 3 and how it's been coming along, and it's looking better all the time. Requirements aren't too insane, either.

ARMA3 Alpha is a "beta-in-progress" available on Steam for $32.99. What this means is that you will recieve future DLC at no cost as the game is improved.
It has graphics comperable to BF3 or FarCry and improvements on the menu interface along with improved physics.

WARNING: Currently there are few "admined servers" at this time and "Kids" have bought this thinking it is a "Run & Gun" game, so they disrupt play by TKing and misuse of the radio system within the game.

If you are interested in the game, I would suggest you purchase "ARM2 Combined Operations" where there are plenty of good servers to get your feet wet and learn how the game works. If you are serious about playing a game that is realistic, objective based, and requires actual "teamwork", then ARMA is for you. In addition, there are plenty of "real weapons and loadouts", "real equipment to operate", and realistic vehicles and aircraft to operatein conjunction with carryingout missions and objectives.

To enhance this, there is a whole community of "ARMAholics" that have developed even more realistic "Free Mods" that bring even more realism.
