"You can see that Windows 8 has increased both my fps and the stuttering is completely gone when I play. To test I just ran a 60 sec benchmark using fraps on a round of domination. Not the most scientifically accurate but it gets a clear message across. These tests where all run with all settings on "low" or "off", 1080p, and FOV at 80"

Ive been trying to say for awhile that Windows 8 is a terrible idea and some people swear is makes their experience faster.

For the most part Ive noticed the decrease in performance is Windows 8 is always running apps in the background.  Most of the time these are apps no one even knows exists, let alone uses.  The part that is more sad than that is you cant stop all the apps from running.  Even if you go through and disable them, they still run.

8.1 (WIndows Blue) is going to have some better performance but the problem is still going to be there.

Personally, I have full intentions on staying with Windows 7 until they come up with something that impresses me.

Just my 2 cents.

That has nothing to do with the OS, that just because your old and the old ones have a hard time with new things.

well my experience with the beta is that from win 7 to 8 was a great improvement for me. was getting 30-50fps with loads of stutter and now im back up to 60-90fps and smooth like bf3 which has made my experience with the beta soo much more enjoyable. But i will wait to buy a copy of win8 after the release to see what happens.  I cant see them letting this issue with win7 stick around.

I like win7 and staying with it. I've tried various suggestions, thanks guys, but the beta is choppy for; waiting for the final version.
