To put your server into Hardcore you must first have the newest Procon.
Then enter your sever ip and port then your password that you got or used when you rented it.
Go to your game server's website and sign in, click on sever config symbol.
Highlight and replace with this:

admin.password "Your Password Here"    (This is for procon)
punkBuster.activate
vars.preset hardcore
vars.serverName "Your server name here"
vars.bannerUrl ""
vars.serverDescription "Description of sever here"

These settings will only work in Ranked, unranked or private
If you cant find how to switch it make sure you add this to the above config  vars.gametype "Ranked"
When all done submit and restart

Then go back to procon and log into server, once in click on console tab and at bottom type in vars.preset hardcore
then hit send and your done. The next map will be in hardcore or you can fast forward it.
After it shows up as hardcore then you can pick spec or commander and you may have to refresh procon to show hardcore setting, but do not change anything or it will be back to custom.
