Hi guys, I have a video file (mp4) that I am trying to create a dvd from. The problem I have is that there is an odd codec in the file that I have not been able to work with.
The codec is video f4v.
I have tried Sony Vegas 11 and Windows movie maker. Both failed to render the file. Funny thing is that I can watch the file using quicktime, vlc and windows media player.
Anyone know a conversion program or a dvd creation program that will work with this codec?

Thanks

Here is the file info:

Try this guide: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/WinFF

Then you can use that convert page above to convert to DVD format, if you desire. Though most disc players from the past 5 years or more are able to play .avi files without a problem.

If that guide doesn't work for you, I'm  guessing it's laden with smelly DRM. Always a way around DRM, but sometimes it's a real pain.
