I usually build my own pc's but at the time my wife needed a new pc I couldn't beat the price of a store bought HP.
It's an HP Envy; 10g memory; AMD FX 6120 6 core processor; AMD Radeon HD 7450 vid card and 300w psu.
I want to upgrade the vid card which will mean a larger psu, so 2 questions...
1. good AMD vid card upgrade that won't break the bank, fit the case and play games
2. will any psu fit the HP case
Thanks!

Any PSU
should
fit the case, assuming it's amid-tower and can conforms to the ATX for factor. Btu really, only tiny cases may not. And i mean
tiny
.
For a GPU, whatever you can afford. The newest series from either AMD or Nvidia will typically use less power and run cooler. Both companies give you equal bang/buck. Look for a good sale.
10gb? Weird. Maybe comes with 12gb, but dedicates 2 to onboard GPU?

Thanks Abram! Since this post I found where it says this model uses a low-profile vid card and searches showed conflicts when upgrading the vid card of this model (HP h8-1414) and Windows8.

It appears to use full height brackets, though. A regular card should fit just fine, so long as the length isn't too immense. Even then, you could probably remove or cut a chunk of the hard drive cage out.
