Ok...so are you guys playing the stand alone version or the Arma supported version??  I have been mulling this for a while, just haven't been sure.

Tazman, I play both.  I prefer the standalone over the dayz mod, but the Dayz mod is fun and has more options.

Most of us play the Standalone.  Big,  fresh update today,  and is pretty sweet.  Doors finally make noise,  added and expanded loot and towns,  added weather effects of your person,  and the melee is fixed.

Of course,  the long awaited character wipe came with it,  which finally got rid of the bugged ammo and mags.

OK...I see that I can purchase it through Steam...and that I can use PayPal, which I have some credit with.  I may mull it a little more, we will see...

Its a pretty  fun game,  and they keeping adding stuff to it with every update.  Though it will never be like the mod is,  in many respects.

Technically,  the purchase is  a preorder for the full,  finished game. It just gives  you access to the prereleases. I wish more developers would use this  model.

It's nice not to be overheating all the time like on experimental. Stun baton is sweet, better than an ax even I think for killing zeds. Balaclavas are nice too. Finding a bug with some ammo not combining correctly.  Door noises freaked me out at first, I thought somebody was near me.

FYI, as some may have noticed the Balota tent city is gone.  It has been moved NW to the area west of Myshkino.

Even better, that location for that tent city is awesome.
