Abram it is an MSI 890FXA-GD65. I know the CPU is obviously the big issue but where it pulled it out when I took the fan off I can't promise the board is good. Everything light up but none of the peripherals powered up. Now I don't know enough to know, that may have been cause the CPU didn't work and it's needed to make them work. But thought I would mention that before you made a decision.

When you cleaned out your computer did you use a vacuum ? I have seen caps and resistors knocked off motherboards from a vacuum nozzles.
The only way I have straightened pins on a CPU was to use a mechanical pencil. Using  the tip the lead  runs through seem to fit perfectly over the CPU pins, just have to take it slow and careful.
Are your peripherals (mouse, Keyboard ) hooked up through a USB extension hub and did it get unplugged?.(if its powered)
I'm sure you have thought of most if not all things, sorry your pins broke but an upgrade is an upgrade. I       Please post if all goes well and why things did not boot if you figure it out. I hope your RAM fits the new board and I'm sure someone has told you will have to reinstall windows and all that fun stuff since your changing out motherboards. registry  keys don't like that much.

No I always use canned air specifically made for that purpose. I used the mechanical pencil to straighten the pins but like I mentioned before I had most of them straighened but a couple snapped off so it was a lose. However I now have a new MB and CPU (ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and an AMD FX 6300). Both are installed with all my stuff reinstalled; spent the last couple nights putting stuff back on and I am up and running again. But thanks everyone for the support and suggestions.
