A little more info on new builds or upgrades - as I mentioned in a prior post, I run a Crucial M500 SSD and plan to add another one in stripped mode which will give me a total of approx. 480 gigs. The M500 was built for laptop use and is a small form (2.5 in ) . Since it was designed for laptops it will handle heat build-up much better than a 3.5 in. model and since it is
so much smaller you will get better airflow around the unit when mounted in a standard box . All you have to is modify a standard tray to mount the SSD in which is very easy to do .
I think you can also purchase an adaptor tray .

Also check with a local pc repair shop for a used case which will save you some money also . I spent about six months helping my grandson open up a pc repair shop and we took
in many cases that were traded in on new  equipment that were in great shape. I would not use any components from a repair shop as you can buy someone else's problems
that way. I don't believe you can get one that's too big and you will have plenty of room for future upgrades . At the shop we even played around with sprucing up used cases
with new paint and new decals . Remember , the bigger the cases the better the air flow and the better the cooling .

One more suggestion . If you are going to do a build yourself , be sure to get a static -  protector wrist band to prevent adding static charges to your componets as they are
very cheep and will save you from costly and irritating problems.
