If you have the non steam version like I do you can install the game anywhere you have space then still move it later. Simply drag the game folder to the desired location then fire up your registry and edit the install location inside the following registry key:
HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Rockstar Games\GTAV
After that just update the shortcut(s) and you are good to go. Not quite as easy as Steam but not difficult either.
As a player of the PS3 version I already loved this game. I am having as much fun on the pc version. There were a couple of hiccups at first with stuttering but I sorted that out. Now my only worries are how the game handles my bad internet connection.
My favorite thing to do in game when i first log online is grab a helicopter then fly to the top of buildings where other players are gathered. I then snipe them. The other night I did this and ended up in a battle with a group of three players for about 30 minutes. It ended with a sweet air chase where I was in one helicopter, two of them were in another, and the third was trying to dive bomb me in a jet. The only reason it stopped was because I had an internet malfunction and lost connection. Good times.

I have the retail version on DVDs seven of them so I guess I can install to my other drive just like to have my games on the SSD 360g That does not hold a lot of games.

Yeah I originally installed it to a separate drive. Moved some games around that I'm not playing to try to clear up some space on my 256 gig ssd so I could swap it over.

I've been hacked! Well not me, but my Rockstar Social Club account has. A quick view of the Social Club section of their community shows a lot of people are having this happen to them. I had a weak password and haven't changed it in a couple of years(yes even after heartbleed). So I wonder if that may have been the issue. If anything strange is coming from my account it isn't me. The email they used is
leagueboostplus [at] gmail [dot] com
. Some sort of League of Legends stat boosting community. I can still access the website but my email and password were changed so I can't change either of them or login to the game. I've submitted a ticket now just waiting in line I guess.

The pastebin mentioned has been removed. Word is the number of accounts jumped up to over 2000 though. I wonder if this is related to non Steam accounts only or maybe effects from heartbleed or something.

So Rockstar is dragging their feet with the thousands of people currently with stolen accounts. I did discover the name, physical address, and phone number for the person who is currently in possession of my account. Anybody near Naperville Illinois want to go be less than polite and friendly for me?

Beats me. They could be trying to determine the cause and how to prevent it. Or more than likely they are understaffed in that department and don't want to admit it. I have not seen a single person with a stolen account actually be helped by Rockstar yet.

Despite proving I am the account owner by uploading screenshots of my linked PSN account(which they requested I do) I have only been escalated to the "proper department". And that was at about 6:30 this morning. I love their games but man Rockstar support is the absolute worst. I know I am not the only one this is happening to so I would hope they'd offer us some sort of compensation for their total screw up.

They have finally released a statement. It's a partial lie since it was already proven to be a breach of their own servers, but at least it is something.
We are aware that unauthorized attempts have been made to access Rockstar Games Social Club accounts using email and password combinations sourced from unaffiliated, compromised websites or databases elsewhere on the internet. For the accounts affected, we are in the process of reverting those accounts back to their original owners. As a result, the ability to change email addresses for Social Club accounts has been temporarily disabled. See the following Rockstar Support article for more information here. As a reminder, it is a good policy to ensure that the Rockstar Games Social Club account username and password is not shared across multiple websites on the internet. For accounts affected with this issue, we are working to respond to customers to reinstate full user access within 24 hours of contacting Customer Support. Please continue to look to the Rockstar Support website for more information as it develops.

So I submitted another ticket asking for help. I asked that all replies to the ticket be sent to my correct email and this was what they said.

Finally. I had to log into two different Social Club Accounts and two different email accounts across three browsers to prove I was who I said I was and just like that I have my account back. What a hassle.

I PLAY AROUND 2TO 4AM TILL 8 OR 9 A.M. SOMETIMES LONGER Cypher is on randomly, goob gets on in a.m. and evenings sometimes Tet is on in the am when I see him anyway. PM me if you want to play a specific time if I can I will or let u know otherwise

I play whenever I get the chance. These days this is my only game. With a newborn and a job requiring me to work 9-14 hour days 6-7 days a week though my time is sporadic at best.
