All non persistent servers have encountered character wipe and rumors are flying thick and fast as too why, as usual everyone has theory and confusion reigns Confused

To clear this up - Eugen Harten, Associate Producer, DayZ Devteam says it appears to be a DDOS issue and will be fixed shortly.

Update - Some non pers server characters have been restored but others will take more time - depending on server type ( hive / shard ) So if you log into a Non Persistent server and your character has been wiped Don't Panic just yet lol

Update: seems to me that this DDOS attack has hit our home base server, well Persistent servers as yes "always E92" mine was wiped!!!!! I have done nothing but log in and out soon as I knew I was not with Lead at camp, so thinking maybe The battleground server I hopped into another evil chicken and yes gone.
