Well there is certainly no shortage of battles and campaigns for EA to draw from in developing battle maps. They have choices of any number of Franco/German battles of the Western Front as well as the Austro-Italian front, the Eastern Front, the battles between the Ottoman and Russian Empires, the Serbian Campaign between Austria-Hungary and Serbia, the African Theatre, the British-Ottoman wars and the Sinai and Palestine Campaign in the middle east. I'm wondering how the BF developers will handle weapons development as while there is quite a wide selection of available weapons, the vast majority are very basic. Artillery was of paramount importance in WW1 as was the development of the tank so it should be interesting to see how they develop the weapons used to fight this war.
