After I finish playing BF V and completely out of the game and Origin after about 5 minutes with nothing done on the computer the screen goes black and the GPU fans - two of them spin at maximum power. No key works or control alt delete do anything, so I searched and found a thread that said due to my new card my BIOS may need to be updated. This is scary territory for me is there some one that if we get on a TeamSpeak or an online session - I can host - can chat about this - perhaps walk me through it if that needs to be done? The thread did say this can happen days after the new card goes in which is exactly what is happening to me. Presently during the “runaway computer” the only stop is the hard stop with the power key - not good of course. Any light shed wil be greatly appreciated!

OK all - the fix looks like it was reseating, disconnecting and them reconnecting my Power Supply PSU to the Graphics Card GPU - so now time will tell........post now here though I guess in case someone else has this problem, which reading forums does not look uncommon.

I may have to try that. Up to this point I have had to completely remove it from my computer just to get me up and running again. There is still a remnant of it in my system as my keyboard occasionally starts flashing the big "V"  before crashing my computer.

Need to add that the real culprit was the separate 2 pin prong of the 8 pin connection / it just inserts and does not “click in” as the 6 pin part does.
