I have the Punkbuster kick problem for BF4.
I have spent hours & hours (2 weeks now) trying to fix this to no result. So i'll tell you what i have done to date...
uninstalled PB reinstalled PB = 0
uninstalled PB reinstalled PB updated PB & BF4 = 0
followed at least 1oz or so YouTube Videos = 0
Yes i checked to see if PB was running in task manager, made sure firewall was allowing both A & B = 0
Uninstalled BF4 , reinstalled it also updated the game and made sure i updated PB Again. = 0
btw BF4 was working fine the day before, and i ma just about spent, i don't know what else i can do. One of the "fixes" gets me a "disconnected from server" fault. (That was when i did "Repair Game").

so what now.?

I thought we got passed all this garbage after the debacle with W@W etc.

i run it without punkbuster on it has the game has its own built in

I would say the same; I didn't install PB when I reinstalled BF4. I did note A is running in the task manager after reading your post but have not issues since I reinstalled it. You installing from Origin or off disc? I did the install from origin then just ran it. It even installed all of my previous keybinds. I was able to just run and play.

Now as I remember, PB does not always uninstall thru windows well. If I remember correctly there is a program that makes sure it completely uninstalls all the files. Also running a program like CCleaner to remove registry entries too can be an issue. I think the PB install program will also give you the option to uninstall completely as well. Then like I said a program that will ensure even the registry has no entries left over.

I did mention it to JD too. He thought it could be an issue if you are using a disc. He said he would look at the post and see if he had any insights as well.

it has its own build in anti cheat dont run PB

I have the downloaded version, and i used the PB installer to uninstall. PB is now not running, but sadly nor is BF4... still.. not sure if i should remove PnkBstrA from the System32 or not??

Any thoughts ???

Check your anti virus settings and see if that may be giving you an issue. Not exactly sure of the exact issue your having. The EA web site also has a few fix's to try.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
OK so i ran CCleaner (inc registry) & i have it that PB is not running according to Task Manager, but the misery of punkbuster remains.
If you have any other advice at all, i would be happy to try it out.

Well i'm playing BF3 & Blops both working perfectly atm.

Blops is that the old game if so that uses pb and that why its still on the the pc u might have to try disabling it then try your games
