What you neeed is:
6 eggs
1 glass of flour
1 glass of sugar
1/2 tea spoon of baking powder
3/4 glass of poppy / 1 1/4 glass of coconut shreds

1. Preheat your ovens to 200 C / 392 F. First split the yolks from the egg whites.
2. Mix the yolks with a glass of sugar so it's so nice and homgenously plumpy  Twisted Evil
3. Mix the flour with the baking powder and mix it with the rest.
4. Whisk the whites until stiff. (beat to the pulp so it screams!!!!!)
5. Stir the whites gently into the rest until homogenous.
6. Add poppy or coconut shreds.
7. Spread some shortening on the griddle and add breadcrumbs so they are making a nice even layer.
8. Pour the dough into the griddle and put it in the oven for about 40-45 minutes.

It may seems complicated but it really isn't and the process of making takes about 20-30 minutes.
It's good with tea, milk and maybe the satanic thing called coffee.
For some it may be not sweet enough, but me... I like it because it's delicate in it's sweetness.... mmmm... cake...
