these things have the notorious habit of going very wrong for me. usually takes me a day or 2 to fix things, including buying new hardware......

it didnt take me as long as I thought it would, but much longer than it oughtta and I didnt get the result i wanted: raid drives
for some reason when i activate the raid controller and enable raid on the drives they disappear from bios but are still recognized by the raid thingy as "healthy" However windows setup doesnt see the raid drives and wont install. I tried different raiddrivers aswell/. So im back to single drives again....bah.

F6: yes i did, and i tried 3 different sets of drivers. Did everything by the book. Still windows setup wouldnt recognize em.
Apparantly, i found out AFTER I completed installing everything, there is a 4th set of drivers (the latest). Asus is disappointing with the presentation of available and usefull drivers.
What bothers me is that the installation should have worked with the initial drivers: it worked before and now it doesnt...I hate computers.
