So, I'm getting ready to go to a LAN party later tonight and I figured that seeing as we're gonna be playing COD 4, I'd better dust off my copy and get my classes tweaked and so forth.  so I popped online, set my server filter to hardcore only and hit refresh.  20,000 servers immediately pop up (seriously, 20,000)...!  And there were more than 300 that said I had less than a 80 ping.

I guess when you get something right, you really get it right!

(Infinity Ward, when you get the time, and have thrown off the yoke that is Activision, remember what a REALLY good game is all about, and give us a proper Multiplayer, preferably PC exclusive title that blows the doors off all the Call of Duty games.  Please!)

So it happens while you are installing it? I would borrow the CD from a friend and just use your CD key. That would be totally legal. You might even be able to find a torrent of the CD online. As long as you are using your own CD key then it really doesn't matter if you use your CD. Sounds like the guy sold it on Ebay because the CD was messed up.

Well, the cd is in mint condition.

What is "torrent" ( im a pc dummy) ?
Does that mean that i can download the game online?
Is there fee for that ?

Through torrents you can get anything, illegally Wink movies, games, music, e-books, whatever you want. there are things just shared by other people. Anyways if you want to use that download utorrent client and go to torrentz.com to find the file.
