Well my mic broke last week. I have traced it to the headset mic connector itself so it cant be fixed.

Since I have a $50 gift card from Best Buy I am looking at getting one from there. I have an Xfi gamer sound card so I would like to have a headset with 3.5 connectors over usb.
Looking for some help in deciding what are good ones.

Here are my choices that are within my price range:

Spend the few extra bucks and get this one. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Creative+-+Fatal1ty+USB+Gaming+Headset/8974791.p?id=1217514464862&skuId=8974791

I also have an X-FI sound card.  I have this headset as well.  They go perfect together.

Didn't notice it was USB, I have the 3.5 version myself.  Try a Razer headset I guess.

I use the gamecon 377 I like it it’s a little tight but I have a big head so ....
I tried the tritton one you have there had it for like 20 min. and returned it to BB and swapped.
I couldn’t get it to work in windows using the 3.5  and with the USB it had horrible sound quality like it was bypassing my sound card and using onboard sound. Plus it was shaped funny felt weird on my head. IMHO I would just go with the Plantronics one works well sounds good.
