So I got my tax return back, and because I am an impetuous youth, scampered off to newegg.com to look in the windows at all the shiny things that I shouldn't blow my entire check on...

20 minutes and 3 online forms later, an email pops into my inbox:

"Your order of Sapphire ATI 5970 "Hemlock" has been confirmed, and will ship out on the next business day."

I feel your pain LadyHawk. I have the advantage of living on my own and having no outside obligations, besides work and college loans. So I get to blow my money on frivolous things.

Tho, if I had a house, New tiles for my bathroom walls would be very nice... Razz

i was thinking about it, but it was ~$40 extra, and back ordered, and Sapphire had free shipping... and I have always had good luck with Sspphire, and you can't mess with Karma, right?

I GOT IT!!!

And boy is it awesome! XD, I did have to do some minor surgery on my case to make it fit... but oh well, its an old case.

the jump in performance is just amazing, dx11 really makes a difference, and all the details are much sharper and more... detaily...

anyways, i call it a good purchase!
