To all that are using Vista.
 Many have entered WaW after applying the patch to be greeted with absolute silence...!  No sound at all once past the startup menu.

Do not despair, for there is a work-around.
Go to start -> control panels -> hardware & sound -> manage audio devices

Right click your speakers and hit properties then the Advanced tab

Change your quality to 16 bit / 48000 Hz

Voila, you have fixed the sound.

If that doesn't do it for you, try to reinstall your sound drivers...

hey braxis

a possible solution got to control panel > sounds > speaker properties > advanced

and make sure its set to 24bit, 48000hz
