Friday on Shotgun Friday one of our guests suggested we have a Pistol Event in BOP's. I have hosted a Pistol Event before here & at VPG with overwhelming success & fun. I am posting this in general to get input from our guests since they recommended it. If anyone wants to help set this up & admin. it I would appreciate the help & suggestions. Once we iron out the details & set a day I will add it to the calendar, rules will be similar to Shotgun Friday but with a twist, maybe the Olympia as your primary weapon for when you run out of ammo & until you find another Pistol on the ground. A modern day Tombstone & O.K. Coral so get that pink tutu pressed & break out your ten gallon hat & spurs pilgrim.

If you plan it for any of the following days I can help. Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
I do think you would have to allow ALL perks, as a Python can reach across the map it would make no sense to not allow nades and x-bows.
So it would be like all perks, pistol only. Run out off ammo I am afraid if you cannot pick up another pistol you are stuck with your KNIFE!

My suggestion;
1. Pistol as the primary weapon.

2. Olympia ONLY as your backup for when you run out of ammo. (Only used until you scavenge more ammo with scavenger or until you find another pistol on a corpse.)

3. No explosive weapons or explosive grenades except for aircraft. (Special grenades, claymores, & C4 allowed)

4. All perks & kill streaks. (Since we are using pistols second chance is not an issue)

That's it, same as shotgun Friday but with pistols & a double barreled twist for extra safety & splatter. So all you have to do now is pick a side the Earp's or the Clanton's Pilgrim.

I think we should stick to the no explosive weapons or explosive grenades since it has worked on Shotgun Friday. The Python can have a scope so of course on the big maps there will be a sniper or too to contend with but we should make it so players have to use a pistol most of the time & you got your double barrel for a back up. I was thinking Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Thurs. might be too close to Fri. but I like the sound of Pistol Packing Thursday & the OK Coral happened on a Thurs. Oct. 26 1881.

Okay it is on the calendar for Feb. 5 from 12:00 P.M (High Noon Pilgrim) - 11:00 P.M. & I will advertise it this week in Shotgun Friday & when I am in game during the coming week.
Rules;
1. Pistols Only Pilgrim

2. Olympia Shotgun Set As Primary (Only to be used when out of ammo & looking for another pistol or scavenger bag)

3. No Explosive Weapons Or Grenades

4. All Perks/Special Grenades Allowed

5. Claymores/C4 Allowed

6. Kill Streaks Dogs Only

I would drop the shot gun period. There will be plenty of pistols  laying on the ground hard to tell if someone is really out of pistol ammo. Key bind guros should have binds to announce the event in the server for couple of days before the event. The game mode should stay the same Team Tactical

I chose the Olympia because of the OK Coral theme & it has only 2 rounds. You have to have a weapon for the primary slot anyway so I thought everyone should have the Olympia. Yes it is going to stay tactical.

Huge thanks to SpacePiggio for setting up Pistol Packing Thursday.  It was great fun and I look forward to another round...I must admit, by the end of the night, my trigger finger was tired and I was moving much more slowly.

Can't hit squat! Should allow me to mouse wheel shoot lol!!!!
