Probably not even perfect for tablets. I couldn't stand it either. I will stick with windows 7/Linux mint/osx.

I mean it works great for surfin and steam so far and my pc, new cpu and mb its much faster in 8 than in 7

My company looks as though it will be one of the first to roll-out to about 50,000 machines.
(we've been running 7 for about a year now, and before that, XP for the last 10 years!)

What do you need Windows 8 for? I mean really it's for touch screens.

i`m going to get a touch screen to run TS and Badkon on plus my pc is a lot faster with 8 for some reason

I have run the Beta as well. Not impressed for the PC - I agree with Silent Wolf looks good for tablets.

I'm hoping the tech makes it to tablets so my sales staff can use tablets online through my online order interface to place orders for my customers. That would save them a ton of time. Other than that , I'll stick with 7 for the PC for now.

I love windows 8. If your using xp or vista why not upgrade for $69. I downloaded "Classic Shell" and it bypasses the tiles and makes it feel like good old windows with the desktop. The metro system is not that bad once you get used to it though. If you want to chat about it hit me up in TS.
