Hey guys,

I am having MAJOR ping issues the last 10 days.  Before that I had virtually none.  Now, I am getting disconnected and having ping spikes virtually every map, regardless of which BK server I am on.  I am hearing in TS that others are having ping issues too.  Is it because of some recent update or something else?

I did down load a utility to speed up my PC, and it worked for about 3 or 4 days, and I have the latest Game Booster too, but still having issues.

I really just want to see if I am the only one having RECENT ping issues.

Typical console porting issues after last patch.  Just another problem with black ops...like the long list needs anymore added to it.

Unknown issue but it seams wide spreed with the game lets wait for the next patch. All of our servers are in different cities and some are even in different countries so it must be a issue with the patch.

I just had the same problem i was able to fix it by downloading and updating my router latest firmware if that does not work and you do have a router if you have not done so turn the router firewall ( NOT the security or password just the firewall) off as it will more then likely interfere with your windows firewall. Also again if you have a router try opening ports for COD

all of those answer about router stuff are all answers coming strait from linksys website and service support.

If you still have some problem make sure you do not have any other program running in the background while you play and i recommend changing your anti-virus to windows utilities essential it is free.

Aye, I noticed a lot of players (including myself) with ping ranging from 100-200 on server 3 last night.  I normally play with 50-70 range.

Reasons for getting high ping value.
1.High ping is when there is high traffic in your system.
2.This can be either caused by loading such large files that the system cannot handle them, or by running several programs at the same time.
3.High ping is not just due to the bad internet connection. video lag, sound lag, virus, spyware, worms, or so on, could cause the high ping. not enough Ram could cause the problem too.
If you get any high ping ,try to lower your ping rate by using some of the following instructions.
1.Don't open any videos,stream and check if there any problem in your router.
2.Make sure there's no browser .exe's still running in task manager
3.Try to contact your internet service provider and get suitable data plan.
4.Move closer to server
I am sure,if you follow the rules,you will get chance to reduce your ping rate.Finally you can check your new ping using
