I am starting to research my new gaming PC build and thought I would see what you all think would be a good MOBO/CPU combo for a new gamer. I would want it to be competitive for at least 3-4 years. Soooo... WADDYA ALL SUGGEST? I am not going to break the bank , however I am not afraid to spend for quality. My (limited) experience tells me NOT to skimp on the MOBO and CPU. Thanks, Bolt    Cool

p.s. I am getting itchy to get my old gamer fixed , hoping to divert some of that energy into researching my new build.

I would go with a i7 47k and a Asus Sabertooth.

I am looking at ASUS x99 pro. Thoughts Johnny? Better/worse than Sabertooth?

I would still go saber, for the fact its built to last. Now if you want to save ching you could go with a AMD bulldozer and same board.

Whichever one you can afford. And a cooler for it.those overclock quiet well, and is very easy to do.
