So far I will have to say I like the game. It should be a lot more fun when we can get into the Death Match mode. It reminds me a lot of Modern Warfare 2 with all the running and gunning. If the other maps are as good or better it should be a good game. COD still rules. My 2.5 cents

The game feels like a mix between the CoD MW series and BF series. Unfortunately, it doesn't take the best points of both, it takes the worst. Player movement is sluggish and slow, like BC2. You can run forever, but you can't strafe while running, again like BC2. You throw grenades like a 4 yr. old girl. No prone or lean, but that's not so horrible considering it's very difficult to pick out stationary targets because of the uniform colors blending into the environment. Weapon damage, even in hardcore, is light. Explosives are under-powered I assume on purpose to avoid nade spamming. The weapon and world modeling look good, but dated, appearing much like CoD4. The game definately isn't a system hog as my dated Q6600 and 8800GTx SLI run it just fine. If the full game has expanded maps without the linear obvious choke points, then that won't be a problem, but the maps they gave us got old very quick.

For my own PC game preference, I'm always looking for the "must have" technology improvement that prompts me to want a to build a new rig. This game feels and plays like a rehash of old graphics engines without anything new. No destructable environments (BC2), no waving, burnable grass and buildings (FarCry2), just another shooter that will play great on a PS3 or XB360.

I've had fun playing the beta, but EA won't get $60 from me for this. If BK is still playing it when I can get this game for under $20 in the bargain bin, I may pick it up for a change of pace.

I have played it for a few hours now and have enjoyed it but, like BC2, I have gotten tired of it already.  I won't be paying for this game.

Id honestly like to hear what you guys dont like about BC2. All i keep hearing is you dont like it ^_^

I agree 100% with Sonic. I feel that MOH is just a rehash of BC2 with different players and new maps. This is more of an expansion pack than what Vietnam will be xD

honestly all I've heard on teamspeak so far is that people don't like the game and they keep dying etc... I like it, and all the complaints are ruining it for me... Sad

MOH is definitely a step back from BFBC2 in the graphics and game play; I agree it is sluggish and for the most part stale.

From what others have said BFBC2 is too fast pace and the maps are too big.  For people that don’t like this “Run & Gun” style then W@W will remain the game to play until COD comes out with W@W that has destruction 2.0 or similar graphical upgrade without jeopardizing the highly controlled environment of W@W.

We all play FPS but with the two completely different styles it’s hard to find a game that satisfies both parties.  MOH attempts to satisfy both but from what I see/heard it falls short of expectations.
For W@W diehards, hopefully Black Ops works out for you.  As for others Vietnam is around the corner.

For now I'm with Sonic, MOH is a bargain bin special.

Exactly; Bashing BC2 is just bad for the game just as it is for any other game. People don't even give it a chance due to all the nagging about it on teamspeak. Just because one person doesn't like the game doesn't mean they should bash it for everyone else in the clan. Ive had several people tell me they didnt get the game because someone else said it was bad... Personally i love BC2, ive spent a LOT of hours playing the game. Its addicting to say the least!

If you like MOH but haven't played BC2.. GO GET IT! You'll be surprised just how much you'll like BC2 ;)

Imagine if we made a forum thread saying how lame W@W is? Do you think people will go out and buy it?!

I for one think Medal of Honor is great. I am thoroughly enjoying it. And yeah, some people may not like it, but I don't think they should be bashing the game every chance they get.

No fault of the game, but I've run into a couple of cheaters already.  Sad commentary on the mindset of people when they feel as though they need to cheat to gain an edge on a video game, me thinks.  Before anyone says, "There aren't any cheats out yet, it's only a beta."  One only has to google for MOH hacks to finds about a billjilliion aim-bots already released.  As for the game play, I find myself liking it, it is very fast paced which I don't normally care for.  But having been to that area of the world and having done the job portrayed in the game, it is very close to what happens when the poopie hits the rotating blades.  The maps appear to be a little too narrow for gameplay, but when you consider that you are on top of a mountain that has very unforgiving terrain, it is what it is.

Points I like:
Compared to life experiences, it has a simulator feel to it
You do move relatively fast even when not in sprint mode
The characters look the part
Plenty of places to put your back into and not need to worry about getting knifed
No Pistol Walkers

What I don't really care for:
Maps are a little tight with too many choke points
No Lean or Prone (I spent so much time in the Army prone that my chest still smells like dirt.)
Weapon balance (Don't try and balance weapons, make a M-16 round and a M-249 hit with the same power, they are the same round)
Rocket and Mortar attacks
Taliban (Opposing Force) does not have UAV's in Theater but does in game (More weapon balance, kid stuff)
Controls feel sluggish
It's not WWII (My favorite genre, if you wanna shoot M-16's at "Opposing Force" try the Marines, they'll let you do it and even pay you for it.)

Even if I were working I probably would not buy it full price, I may pick it up if/when it hits the bargain bin.

If you run, you will only die tired.

I like the "hold breath" feature when sniping.  I still think developers need to overall sniping altogether.

- Movement of sights up and down needs to be random, not the same pace and distance back and forth.

- Sight movement needs to change with stance and action that had just taken place.  For example after running the scope is all over the place until your more still and relaxed or say a tank just blew up next to you and your a little shaken up after the blast

- Wind should also play a factor.

BFBC2 is nice with the bullet drop be still not where sniping should be, wish it had "hold breath" like MOH.  These improvements would help add challenge and more depth to the game.

I've played the last couple days. Logged in maybe an hour or two. I like the mountain map. The graphics seem okay but it still seems like a lot of ammo to take people out. The map I played seems to hinder the attack force. It seems to me you are almost channeled in certain areas in order to reach the target. Spawn camping was rampant on the server I played on. Some players refused to advance in order to snipe(with m16s no less!!) so there were only a couple of us advancing. You really have to work as a team here to obtain objectives. We were basically led like sheep to the slaughter in these "funneled " kill zones. Don't get me wrong there were places to lay down suppressing fire or snipe from but without cooperation it was every person for themselves running like banshees into murderous fire. I am desperate for a game to give me the feel of WAW as played on our servers. Am I giving this game a fair shot? I'm not sure. It's like throwing out that favorite t-shirt or old comfy pair of jeans. Am I ready to make the switch,I don't know. WAW has spoiled me and your ALL to blame!!!!!!! I really want MOH to succeed and become a staple on our servers. I like the concept of the up to date type scenarios. I just want it with a more WAW feel!!! I am going to give this game a chance as far as single player mode just not sure about multi-player. With that being said it will be hard to justify purchase if I'm not gonna play the multi-player. Cause, as we all know, that's why were all here.!!! Confused

13Legion did you play in a HC server or a SC server? They do have a HC mode in this game.

The biggest difference that most people dont realize / remember is unlike back in the world war's body armor wasn't around so i could take one shot to kill an enemy. With todays body armor its going to take quiet a bit more firepower to do so unless its a head shot. ( even then if it hits the helmet youll need to do more than one shot Wink )

The one thing i dont like is the whole ranked and non ranked system. The only reason people like the ranked system is for its ability to let you level up. Other than that its just stupid. If the ranking system wasn't there each server would be able to edit its weapons fire power, ability to use which weapons, etc
