Just got my pistol today. Kimber Custom 2 SS TLE/RL .45

I am a fan of the 1911 pistol and Kimber is a good company which offers great custom pistols without the high cost of one. This pistol is currently standard issue for the LAPD SWAT. Even so this baby cost me $1,079 excluding the FFL transfer fee and the new grips. Anyways tell me what you think.

very nice, I have a Springfield 1911 with a matte black finish.  I have always loved and wanted a kimber, but i can never justify the cost to myself, because I put some work into mine, and it shoots just as accurate and reliably as my friends kimber (for half the price).

That said, love the looks of that one, and hope it brings you hours of enjoyment and smiles!

Me too. I've got a flat black GI-45 Springfield, double-stack, skeletonized trigger and hammer.

Updated post with pictures of my gun. The first one shows the old rubber grips next to gun with the new carbon fiber grips on the gun.
