Not sure how many people use the Steam Version of COD5 as I do, but their patches can take forever.

Click on Start > Run type in regedit press ok click on edit find type in call of duty WAW alternatively follow this route HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Activision\Call of Duty World at War If you have a 64-bit operating system this is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Activision \Call of Duty World at War. Right Click Digital Distribution rename to Not Digital Distribution Thats it, now you can install the 1.4 patch. When steam releases the patch you simply rename this back to Digital Distribution. This works for me and I still have my multiplayer profile. [update] You cannot play solo/coop after doing this! error message says Insert DVD, so you must wait for steam patch to play solo/coop |
