Hey all. I just installed BF4. I was wondering, do I need any DLC or MapPacks to play on our server? Also, since I installed 02/02/14, do I need to install patches? It auto updated for quite some time after install.

Venocide at the mo it depends which version or when you actually purchase bf4 as some copies came with China rising others didn't if yours didn't you would be better off getting premium.

Premium is basically a season pass for all planned Dlc for bf4. But if ask any one who plays it they should be able explain and point you in the right direction

Yes you can buy Prime from Origin. After you buy it just go install all the map packs. There is also a new map pack coming out next week!

You can get 20% at Gamefly if you use the code "FEB20OFF". I got my BF4 and Premium through them. They just email you a serial that you redeem through the Origin client. Easy-peasy.
