I'd have to say they're doing fine on their own, so far!
I really enjoyed Portal and it was a good deal when I bought the Orange Box. I refuse to spend the kind of money they are askin for this game now. It's cool but in my eyes a bit "simple" compared to the games we are currently paying that kind of money for these days. I'll wait for it to be a better deal on Steam.
This puts you as a test subject for Aperture Science in Black Mesa before GlaDOS was plugged in...and it's actually a little bit harder then Portal itself...great puzzles for those interested...
And while the Orange Box was indeed a fantastic offering with 5 games for the price of one, I'd still buy Portal 2 because it's bigger then Portal and it has the addition of Co-Op which should really make for some interesting fun...
