Brothers in Arms' games are generally known for following in the footsteps of those before them, as far as historical accuracy comes into play. With their newest release, they are breaking away from those historic paths to bring us a more stylized shooter that has a team fortress feel to it. Check out the release cinematic trailer below.

What a total slap to the face to what was an excellent game series...it's probably due to the success of Gearbox's Borderlands that brought this about...seems so many devs are trying to cash in on the total success of one of the most popular games played today which is TF2...I of course love TF2 having started and ran a division with over 130 members...and even though I'm no longer with that community I still play TF2 quite often because it's just that good...hence so many clones of it...

Sad part is I remember there being hints as to another BiA game...was so looking forward to it since the previous 3 were great games...from the 1st to the 3rd, they just got better and better...not only were they based on real events, but the whole squad control gamestyle was impressive...

And now we have this...

Sadness...

Well I never played BIA but really like this tounge-in-cheek spin. Looks a lot like the movie "Inglorious Bastards". I'll be keeping an eye out for it!

If this chapter in the series turns out to be like borderlands, I totally agree.  However, it's a little too early to draw conclusions.  Like you NightWolf, I really enjoyed the first 3 chapters, specifically the great lengths Gearbox went through to make the maps/cities/locations/events from history.

Exactly...

When I watch this vid all I see are characters based off of existing ones from TF2 and /or Borderlands...Demoman, Sniper, Scout and Heavy...or Soldier, Hunter and Bezerker aka Brick...

And I don't recall too many soldiers during WWII carrying around portable gatling guns...lol

Will be interesting to see how this plays out...like you said, still too early to draw any conclusions...
