The first Arma was pretty good and I played the demo of the 2nd one so I'll most likely get it...it's a great game for those that like to take their military games to the extreme...battles are on a grand scale...you truly do feel like you're in an all out battle...vehicles rock...there's just so much done right with this game...
As for TF2, I can only say awesome things about it...as a player from Team Fortress Classic I anxiously awaited and followed the development of TF2...and believe it or not, when it first came out I was skeptical because of the majorly different art style of the game, with it's retro almost cartoon like look...but once I played it I knew this game would surpass even TF classic...and at the time I was in another old gaming community and formed a TF2 Division with friends...I eventually led that division with over 100 players...that's still small due to the fact that at any time TF2 has more people playing it then any other MP game out there...it's funny cause even with all the CoD hype, TF2 is still rated one of the best, if not the best Mp game out there...like PC gamer magazine says, "it's the most fun you'll have online" and it's so true...just the sheer magnitude of what Valve puts into this game consistently should tell you that this is truly a fun game and will be around a long time while others burn out...
Hit me up on Steam for some TF2 fun some night...I play on several well know and awesome servers loaded with both Valve and user mad maps...

Oh btw almost forgot...
With this new TF2 free to play, Valve, in their usual style, also did a major update again...these are common actually since as I said before, Valve really keeps this game up to par...
Check out the latest huge update on the player classes...
