Need a W@W kick? Switch TS channels with a Hotkey.

I often get onto Badkon to see a couple (or more) kicks stacked up for World at War. Since alt-tabbing can crash it, and overlays are not available, it's understandable and surely annoying that those rule-breakers can stay in-server for a while.

However, you can set Hotkeys in Teamspeak that allow you to switch over to a specific channel, without having to risk a game crash.

Go to Settings - Options. Click the Hotkeys tab at left, then hit 'Add' under the right-hand pane. Then click the 'Show Advanced Options' button, and a slough of actions will become available. Expand 'Switch to Channel' twice, and you can assign Hotkeys to switch to specific channel that exist in the server you are currently connected to.

Set up one hotkey for switch to Welcome channel and Switch to CO-Op1, and you're all set, and hopefully you folks won;t have to wait to see some running schmuck get the boot.

EDIT: If you ever have the need to backup your Hotkeys, Bookmarks, and Contacts. (re-install/format/other PC) you can find all of these in a single file called settings.db, which can be found in Users\[username]\Appdata\Roaming\TS3Client\. There is also a 'Backup' folder, but it is only there in case your settings.db gets corrupted.

If there is just a few pW@W players and no admin I ask you move down to the welcome room. That way you can easily contact a admin.

Thought Id' bump this, since I still often see W@W players that need to be kicked, and no one comes down to Welcome channel to ask for it. Though I think it's mostly the players that never come into TS, in the first place.... I think we shoudl start cracking the proverbial whip a bit more about that.

But Just a Guy coems down often to ask for kicks. _b

I know that I read through the members on TS thread and right after that...I cam in here and setup hot keys.  Works pretty slick, as I now have Welcome, Coop1, Coop2, Match Prep, Boot Camp, and Tango channels setup as hot keys!!!

Thanks Abram!!!

You can also double-click channels on the TS3 Ovlerlay, if you use it.

Really nice that TS3 is such a robust program. A few weeks ago I had to talk to some 40-1 guys, but they only use TS2.. man, what an astonishing difference.  Makes me wonder what a surely-eventual TS4 will be like...

If I made a better guide with picamatures, could it get stickied? There seems to be a fair amount of interest in this function.
