Hello people!
I am updating from my current 2007 out-dated computer, hopefully!
I play Day-Z, I lag frequently and I know the game has poor optimization but I would love to atleast lag less than I do.. and play other games that I would not be able to with my current computer.
I am looking into this computer ;
Best Buy PC
People say the graphics card needs to be updated because it isnt that great, but as long as it can run games
much nicer than what I have now I'm pleased.

-How high do you think it'll run DayZ (ArmA) ?
-Also, how high do you think it would run Battlefield 3? Not sure if I would even buy that due to how many expansions it has now -_-.

That best buy pc is ok but the video card would be the weakest point(but will be better than the current one you have). I would get atleast a nvida 660 or above or ATI 7950 an above or mabye a ati 7870.
Can you build your own computer or have any friends that do?
If not that best buy pc would work but would suggest upgrading the videocard.
Also depends on budget lol
Also if you want to sell your ram and cpu from your old pc ill buy them off you

Is the videocard in the Best Buy PC THAT bad? or is it okay?
All in all I really just want to run games higher than I can right now.

on a scale of 1 to 10 its about a 5, it will be better than the one you have now but nothing spectacular. it will run BF3 on medium to low settings probably. Day z will probably run smooth . If you can a ati 7750 at 109.00 will work well for you (http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX38392) .
Your video card is probably the most important part of the computer for gaming, then your cpu and ram ( which are pretty decent on that best buy computer). So your going to be buying a nice new computer with good components but the video card, and your going to be disappointed imo. But that's just me lol That video card in it now will play pretty much all the older games pre 2011 pretty well but anything after that will be poor/good.
But try it out and see, you will only have to spend and extra 100-200 for a decent video card to make your system good for the next few years.
So coming from your older computer to this best buy one you will see better performance but nothing huge.
Also your should look into buying a SSD hard drive for your OS and Games. This will make a pretty big difference.

Not a bad PC. A really good video card would prolly make it scream well.
As far as your old PC goes, I would get the RAM bumped up to 8GB and drop not necessarily a top of the line video card in it, but one way better than you have and even it would still be a decent machine to have around for any purpose and still able to bust out some performance. You might even be able to buy the parts used off of Ebay. Just make sure you buy from a seller with a good rep and has a return policy.

Definitely get another GPU. Any will do, but the more you spend, the better you get - though the newest series (7xxx for AMD, 6xx for Nvidia) run cooler and use less power. But hose Q6600 CPUs overclock fairly well. I'd suggest a decent after-market cooler and crank that sucker up. They can easily run at 3.4ghz without bumping voltage. As always, try to do some research before attempting and overclock, take baby steps, and keep an eye on the temperature. No chips CPUs will overclock the same.
Oh and at least 4gb of RAM. even a small jump from your current 3gb will give you a good performance boost.
