I know it works for Black Ops, and I'm fairly sure it works in World st War.
Just edit or insert this line into your config_mp.cfg:
cg_overheadNamesSize "x"
"2" is the default value. Higher numbers give you a larger font. I have mine set to toggle bwtween 1.5 and 10, so I hit a key to catch some chump sprinting past me. I use 1.5 the rest fo the time bwcasue I hate lsoing a distant target when a teammate passes in between us.
config_mp.cfg locations:
\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty black ops\players\config_mp.cfg
\Users\[profile name]\Appdata\Local\Activision\CodWaW\players\profiiles\[playername]\

Ah, I see now. I had searched for that thread by typing "overheadNamesSize". That sticky did not show because it has an understandable typo: The command is "cg_overheadNamesSize", not "cg_overheadNameSize". Names. Not Name.
Please change the sticky
