When I built my new rig I installed a ssd for the OS and primary programs, "C" drive. I installed my old hdd as to save all my docs, pics and games, "E" drive.
When I reinstalled my Origin and Steam games I directed the download location to E drive. I just re-installed WaW and changed install location to E drive. All my games work fine.
When I open C drive I see BF4 and BFH. When I re-installed WaW I see my profile is on C drive. If I directed the games to install on E drive why are there some files on C drive?
My concern is my ssd is only 250g, trying not to waste space.

simplest one I can think of is that some programs hardcode directory values into the software.  When I setup my system (120gb ssd OS and raid 1 for storage) I had to edit some registry values and then create links so that programs that had hardcodes values would write to the correct drive.

It's something that's best done on a fresh install as its done during the last step of OS installation but if you'd like the link to the tutorial I used I'll post it

The base of your game (core files) installed on your E drive, but Application Data (profiles and saves) are associated with your Windows User (login) which is installed on the C drive.

Taz nailed it, basically it does this in-case the program is used account multiple accounts each user has their own profiles and saves etc
