Hi everyone!

I have missed you all!!

Since my eldest daughter's wedding in Cuba ('twas beautiful) things have gone downhill for me.  I caught salmonella poisoning in Cuba which took me to hospital in Canada, and after that, as some of you know I struggle with mental illness, I had a bit of a breakdown and was put in hospital for about 2 weeks.  The breakdown was a gift in disguise.  The hospital couldn't have been more helpful with services:  daily psychiatric and nurse visits, group therapy sessions, laughter (yes, laughter in the psych ward... sounds odd to me, too) and a great bunch of people that I met and will continue to see through outreach programs in the community.  All of this help is free and I am so very grateful.  So now I have a new diagnosis which is very treatable (BiPolar2)... I'm on new meds that seem to be helping me to stabilize my mood.  I've been able to visit friends, go for bike rides, and just basically *do* things that were impossible for me before the breakdown.  And that is all good!  So very, very good!

You would all be so proud of Tek.  September is his busy month as a teacher, filled with meetings after school and setting the classroom up, getting to know students... and yet... he visited me every-single-day... even when he was drop dead tired.  The man *is* a soldier!  I am so lucky to have him in my life, and to Love me through the tough spots.

So....  here's to better health, and, oh, is it Friday?  Shotguns Friday?  Woot!  Woot!  I'll be there!!!

Oh, and if anyone in the channel needs to know how to crouch or not to run, I can tell you how (saying this as I pressed teamspeak instead of "z" key to talk to team members about crouching... the entire teamspeak crowd let me go through my entire spiel before telling me I was on teamspeak!!!  Just how red can a person turn?  Tomato red in embarrassment!!!!)  But it was funny, I must say!

Love to all!!!  <3 <3 <3

So glad you are feeling better. I know exactly what you are going through. My better half has struggled with it for years. There are times when things go crazy but you hang on and have a lot of patience and understanding. It took a few years to get the meds just right....things got better.

I'm so glad your back!  Tek, thank you for your strength.  There is so much I can say, but all that matters is that we keep fighting.

So glad to see you back !  Hope you get things worked out.  I have had some experience with some family on my wife's side that are Bi-polar and I know how difficult it can be .
Glad that you have gotten a diagnosis that explains the problem . The answer seems to be to get on the correct meds. and dosages and I am sure that your Drs. will accomplish
that task . Will be praying for your continued well being !

And huge kudos for you Tec for standing by your life partner !
