Ok I just recently bought a PNY GeForce GTX 260 and it is running just as slow as my GTS 8800.....
My specs:

CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 Ghz
RAM 4GBs
PNY GeForce GTX 260

I am really upset about the fps I am getting... I am getting about 15-20 fps on the highest settings. That is what I was getting with my GTS 8800 on the highest settings... when I change it to the lowest settings, I still get about 15-20 fps... this it the recommended card for this game.. it should not be giving me these fps..

I could use some help with this...

go into your my documents and open the BCbeta folder and open the setting.ini

at the bottem set the direct x to 9
" DxVersion=9 "

This should help you out alot;  ( this is assuming you are running vista or greater )

The game hasn't really be optimized to use directx10 all to well;

im running the i7 with the 260 and mine on medium was only pulling 40-50? turned it to direct 9 and it sits constantly over 60+
