To those who have been reading and not posting... please do so! it lets me know actually how many people are reading! If its only like 3 people idk if it worth all the work! :P

Ill be doing these Monday-Friday as most sites don't update on the weekends.

Wii Users get NetFlicks!

The wait for Netflix streaming on the Wii platform is almost over. Word is that the Wii streaming discs necessary to watch Netflix streaming content on the Wii platform should start showing up today, provided that you already took the time to request one.

The wait since the official announcement in January of this year has been a long one; the rumors that Netflix would be offering streaming support for the Wii had started a long time before the announcement in January. The Wii will only be able to stream standard definition content at 480i resolution.

The latest whispers that we are hearing seem to indicate that Netflix is looking at adding support for the Nintendo DS as the next platform that they are adding that will support streaming. No mention has been made of adding support for the PSP, but our sources tell us that Netflix is considering it; it is more likely to test out the reaction on the DS before Netflix considers a PSP offering.

With the release of the Wii version, all three major consoles now offer Netflix streaming support, but only currently the Xbox 360 has the Netflix support integrated into the dashboard itself without the use of a separate disc. Our sources confirm that we should see Netflix offering integrated support for the PlayStation 3 soon, but it is unlikely to come to the Wii. The Xbox 360 platform is the only platform that has a requirement in order to use the Netflix streaming option. Xbox 360 owners must be current Xbox Live Gold members in order to use the Netflix streaming option; and despite cries from owners, it is unlikely that this will change anytime soon.

Tonight is the Night! its FINALLY the release date for the 480's! :O!

The world is full of time zones and the simultaneous launch of Fermi, Geforce GTX 480 and 470 will happen on March 26th, at 15.00 Pacific Standard Time (Pacific coast), 18.01 East Coast time, 23.01 British standard times and Central Europeans will see the first reviews on the March 27th at 00:01, or what we call midnight.

We can only speculate that Nvidia waited for the New York stock exchange to close before it launches the card, to let the stocks possibly rise or fall over the weekend.

The opinions will definitely be divided as tonight, it’s highly unlikely that you will be able to buy a card. There might be some cards here and there, but real availability can be expected on April 12th, only in case if Nvidia doesn’t shift this date again.

Performance wise, in some test and heavy AA and Anisotropic settings powered with super high resolutions, you will see somewhere between 20 to even 50 percent performance increase over Radeon 5870, but do have in mind that at this settings Fermi, Geforce GTX 480 loses to the dual-GPU Radeon 5970, which will remain the fastest card on market.

In most games Fermi should end up slightly faster than Radeon HD 5870. Be sure to return at midnight as we might have much more scores for you as we are testing the card as we speak. Stay tuned for more.

Nvidia GF104 Details

The guys at 3dceter.org managed to dig up some rather interesting info on Nvidia's upcoming GF104. Nvidia will launch the GF100 card in less than 12 hours, but it will be a couple months before we see Fermi-based mainstream and entry level cards.

According to 3dcenter, the performance GF104 core will feature 256 shader cores, 64 TMUs, 32 ROPs and it will utilize a 256-bit memory bus. The chip should appear in three cards, although we're not sure about their designation. The purported GTS 450 should end up slightly faster than the HD 5830, but it will probably cost a bit more as well, probably somewhere in the €200 to €230 range. The GTS 440 should end up around 20 percent slower than the GTS 450 and it will cost between €160 and €180. It is expected to outperform AMD's HD 5770.

The third card, apparently branded GTS 430, will pack 192 shader cores, 48 TMUs, 24 ROPs and a 192-bit memory bus. It should match the HD 5770 in terms of performance and it will cost between €130 and €150.

Mainstream and entry level versions, based on GF106 and GF108 cores, should follow soon. GF106 cards will sell between €60 and €100, depending on the SKU, while the GF108 will take care of the entry level market in the €30 to €40 price range.

However, bear in mind that these cars should launch in June at the earliest. The specs and brands could still change, so we caution you to take them with a grain of salt.

Companies are moving out of China like HOT CAKES

After google was refused to no long censor the chinese people, the government is basically blocking them now. Thus Google is moving out of china as well as many other companies. Dell being one  that MIGHT be moving.

Tinman Michael Dell is considering packing his bags and moving to somewhere cheaper.

All this rumour comes from none other than India’s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh. Singh told the Indian press that Dell chairman Michael Dell assured him that Dell was moving $25 billion in factories from China to India.

Dell has reportedly said that they were leaving China in search of a “safer environment with [a] climate conducive to enterprise.” Singh added that Dell would shift $25 billion in parts and equipment to India, also said that Michael Dell was looking for a country “with security of a legal system.”

Google, who shut down most of their Chinese operations this week after concerns over censorship as well as a security incident between China and Google. It is possible that Dell is worried that it is facing cyber-attacks from China.

It is starting to look like foreign outfits are getting fed up with working in China. Dell currently has one factory in India. Michael Dell previously said publicly that “India is a great place to be in” and that “It is growing faster than China for us.” However, Dell still maintains it's not planning to leave China.

Go Daddy, is also planning to get the hell out of dodge.

Chinese authorities required the company to change its registration rules in line with Chinese laws, but Go Daddy said no. The Chinese government asked Go Daddy to provide extensive personal data on each applicant, including photographs. The company said the new rules would put individuals who register domains at risk and that it would have no part in it.

''We were immediately concerned about the motives behind the increased level of registrant verification being required,'' said Go Daddy General Counsel Christine Jones. ''The intent of the procedures appeared, to us, to be based on a desire by the Chinese authorities to exercise increased control over the subject matter of domain name registrations by Chinese nationals.''

Jones noted that China was asking for additional information retroactively and that Go Daddy's decision had nothing to do with Google's pull out.

Spy Hunter the movie?

A film based on the Midway arcade game, Spy Hunter, appears to be on the radar again with Warner Bros. working to get it made. The company is attempting to extend the IP acquired from Midway into areas beyond just more video games.

Apparently, Midway itself prior to its demise attempted to get a Spy Hunter film made, and it did at one point look like the video game from 2006 (that has since been converted to multiple platforms) was going to be made with Universal driving the project. A video game was also planned to tie in with the new Spy Hunter movie. Rumors suggest that Hong Kong action director John Woo was said to have been selected to direct the project, but it never got all the way off the ground.

Now Warner Bros. is looking to make the movie a reality, with a script that will be or that is in the process of being written by Chat St. John who has written the scripts for several upcoming films. Dan Lin and Roy Lee are said to have been selected already to produce the new Spy Hunter film.

From what we are hearing, don’t think that this will be the last of the Midway titles to head to the silver screen; Warner Bros. is looking at other titles for possible adaptation into movie form. No word yet on what the next candidate might be, but as long as it isn’t Joust, we should be ok.

480 Reviewed

By all accounts the GeForce GTX 480 is not the beast we were hoping it would be, and in many cases it was not a great deal faster than the six-months-old Radeon HD 5870. That's not to say it isn't an impressively fast graphics card. After all, the Radeon HD 5870 is no slouch, so beating it in almost every test is a real accomplishment.

As we understand it, at $499, Nvidia will already be selling the GeForce GTX 480 well below its intended price. The problem is that even at this price the card will still be some $80-110 more expensive that most Radeon HD 5870s. On average when Nvidia's new flagship managed to outperform the Radeon HD 5870 it was only around 16% faster. While any improvement is always welcome, we are not sure gamers will want to pay a 20% premium for this.

Here is a quick break down of how the GeForce GTX 480 compared to the Radeon HD 5870 while running each game at 2560x1600: It was 16% slower in Battlefield Bad Company 2, 13% slower in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat and 5% slower in Wolfenstein. The GTX 480 was only slightly faster in Batman Arkham Asylum, winning by a 4% margin, just 1% faster in Resident Evil 5, 10% faster when testing with CoD: Modern Warfare 2, and 11% with Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.

Moreover it fared rather well in Metro 2033 with a 13% lead, Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts with 14%, World in Conflict Soviet Assault with 22%, Crysis Warhead with a nice 24% advantage, and finally Far Cry 2 with a huge 35% margin. Nevertheless, as you can see, there were only a few instances where Nvidia's latest and greatest graphics card truly shined and managed to outperform the Radeon HD 5870 by a 20% margin or greater.

The GeForce GTX 480 appears to offer a somewhat balanced value, fitting right between Radeon HD 5870 and the Radeon HD 5970 in terms of both price and performance. Unfortunately we can't help but feel that if Nvidia had priced it closer to the 5870 then AMD would really have something to worry about. That's what makes the GeForce GTX 470 such an interesting prospect. At just $349, the card is around 30% cheaper than a GTX 480, but we are not really expecting it to be that much slower -- sadly, Nvidia was unable to provide a sample.

Pricing concerns aside, there are a few solid facts that are not going to change about this card. First and foremost the GeForce GTX 480 is a power addict in desperate need of some rehab. The card sucked down a whopping 28% more power compared to the Radeon HD 5870 when put under load. Given that it rarely offered a similar performance bump, it's fair to say that the GTX 480 is considerably worse AMD's product in terms of efficiency.

The other negative impact all this power has is heat. The GTX 480 is one of the hottest -- and noisiest -- graphics card available. In terms of operating temperatures it's able to make even the dual-GPU Radeon HD 5970 look rather tame.

The GeForce GTX 480 is indeed a very fast product, and as the drivers have time to mature it's likely to become even faster. I'm going to reserve my opinion on whether this card is a good buy until it hit shelves to review the pricing. But for now we know it offers the fastest speeds along a few compromises in power consumption and heat production.

Widespread availability of both GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470 cards will happen the week of April 12, 2010. Although the first cards to hit the market will all be Nvidia-designed, it will also be very interesting to see what upgrades Nvidia's board partners will offer down the road to help keep temperatures under control.
