Basically mine is on its last leg : / Ive got the gtx260 from evga and while i was playing bc2 i got the special freeze up me and spider have been getting; Well i restarted and when i did ive got lets just call it a snowy desktop Smile for those that know about gfx cards it basically means it could die while im typing this! lol

Anyways if anybody has a spare card laying around your house that is about the equivalent to the 260 make a offer for it below and i might buy it from you; Im kinda strapped for cash atm ( just paid off the current $2500 tuition ... ugh ... ) so hopefully it wont be to much!

Thanks in advanced guys.

Well, I've got an ATI 4870 (single core) by Sapphire that I'd be willing to part with for $100 (shipping included). Its not quite as good as the 260, but it runs BC2 just fine for my uses. I haven't overclocked or anything like that, it does run rather hot and noisy, but I am told this is a feature of that series of card.  All in all, a good card that has never given me issues for a year and a half.

You'll have to give me a day or two to ship it, I'm away at work till Wed night.

The only problem i have with that hard is that like 60% of the heat from the gfx card gets dumped into the computer lol With my cpu and everything else overclocked idk if i need a lot more heat :P

Not a bad price for the card though with shipping; Other than the fact 100 bucks is out of my price range lol

hmmm gas for work... or video card to play with bk .... hmmm... lol

Lol, tough choices. I've found that the ATI only raises the ambient temp of the case by 9 degrees (yea, I measured. I'm an engineer, what do you want?!), it has a really strong fan that likes to rev. Razz at times it can sound like a jet, and I expect my case to begin taking off.

The core temps on the monitor are a little scary at times tho... 56 C at idle! Tho ATI claims that this is normal for their 4800 series...

Well, just let me know. I need a couple of days to order a hemlock... Razz

Hah you might need to buy a radioactive kit to keep it in just to sustain the heat from the video card while being transferred XD

I think i might buy my friends 250 for 60 bucks although id much rather have a better card : / lol

Have you contacted evga about an rma?  I hear they are good about warranty issues.

The only problem is ive had the card for like 2 years and ive got a aftermarket cooler on it; I think in order for it to be rma'd you have to have the stock parts. There in a box.... somewhere Very Happy lol

>.< lol!

Well, my offer is still open, i was just looking on newegg.com at the prices of my card now, ~$150 which is a little sad when i think that i bought it for ~$300...

Also, i was an idiot and looked at the ATI 5970's.... and I CAN'T LOOK AWAY!!! such a bad thing for my wallet.  but then a voice in my head says, "yea, but thats about the same as your tax refund... you should totally do it!"

NO, BAD BRAXIS!  but I want so bad... hmm, i wonder if it even fits in my mid-tower... *hastily opens computer* Yay! clears by about 1/4 inch  Laughing  Crying or Very sad

I am so far beyond help...
