I am going to be upgrading my 19" to a 23" monitor soon.  Was looking for some suggestion.  Looking for a monitor that has a HDMI connection.  Also I see some have LED Backlight and some dont, if this important?  Thanks.

Just got one of these a few weeks ago for work (using it now): http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6472020&CatId=3774

I think the LED lighting helps the viewing angle and makes the lighting more consistent...colors more consistent.  I love it.  They also have 24" versions of it.  Don't know what you plan to spend, but you get what you pay for.  Avoid monitors with low contrast.

I recently just bought the 24' version, wont be getting it until Christmas though Sad, I think I paid around 230 taxes in from newegg, all the Asus monitors have recieved rave reviews from the community and I was searching around for a while, and I always kept coming back to Asus.

My computer desk has limited room so it has to be a 23-24", the main reason im upgrading is we just got 23" monitors at work, Asus VH236, and after playing some WAW on it I said I MUST get one for home, lol.  Looking to spend about $200-250.  Hows this one, Asus ML238H?

Went up to Best Buy and got this LG, LG E2350.  They had some HD animal show on all the monitors and by far this was the clearest and brightest monitor they had.  So far I love it, only one problem maybe someone has ran into this or can help.  I would like to set it up using a HDMI to my Asus 5850 but when I hook it up it has a border all the way around the screen.  When I use the DVI-D cable its fine.  I know the only advantage of using the HDMI is the audio, which I dont use.  From what I understand is a HDMI and DVI-D both give you the same HD video. I have seen on some forums that you need to switch it to PC viewing not TV viewing in the video card properties, LG site.  I can not find this in the properties or in the Catalyst software.  Any thoughts?
