Enough Power?

I am in the process of upgrading my system and was wondering if I have enough power with my power supply to run the new system.

New system build:
AMD 1090T 6 core
Asus M4A89TD Pro/USB3
G.SKILL Ripjaws 8gb 1333
Asus 5850
2 500gb HD's
DVD Burner
USB = printer, scanner, keyboard and mouse
LG 23" LED monitor

The power supply I have right now is a Antec TruePower Trio - 550 Watt Triple Rail 42amp.  I will be getting at least a 1000 watt PSU in the future.

UFANS...You will be pushing it with the 550W.  I went to an 850W to run a similar set up, but now wish I went with the 1kW PSU.  If you get a self  powered USB hub to plug all of your USB peripherals into then that will help take some power draw off your 550W (mouse, keyboard, joystick, headset, flash drive...etc. - your printer is self powered so that is ok out of the back of your pc)  Also Do NOT unlock the gpu on the 5850, cause that can pull 300+ Watts on its own!!!

The new CPU and RAM use less power then the older stuff, but your graphics is gonna be the key factor as the amount of juice you need especially if you crank up the settings!

However, with a powered USB hub you should be able to manage with the 550W, but I would suggest putting the new PSU on your list as the next purchase for your PC.

Thanks thats what I thought.  I was going to get a new PSU, SSD 128gb, and possible another 5850 next month.  But I think im going to need to run up to the computer store and pick up a power supply.  I went to Asus site and did the power calculator and with my new setup they recommend at least a 650.  I will let you know what I end up getting.
