I like to toy around in Paint Shop Pro X2 a little and thought I would give my hand a try at putting together a sig.  Since I am a Navy vet and like to play CoDWaW I combined several images to come up with my sig.  One was a Navy vessel with WW II aircraft fying over it and the other a sniper scope since the PTSR is my weapon of choice.  I would welcome any comments (constructive criticisms) to help me improve.  I am certainly impressed with the sigs created my the Graphics Team, they are truly talented.  Good job guys...!

Fish ..first off that is a SPECTACULAR first sig!!..I take it you MUST have some experiance with the program because thats some nice work!
You asked for "constructive criticism" so here it is...I think the text overpowers the sig.The should not be the FOCAL point of the sig and in yours you cant help but see it first(IF it must be that big I would at least like to see it more transparent and less obtrusive)...also the font doesnt seem to fit the sig.Your font (I believe it is "Blade Runner" is too futuristic for a mostly WWII sig IMHO.) the BK part is well dne.
Those are small complaints for a first sig (any experianced designer will tell you text is the hardest part)..so once again GREAT FIRST SIG...Don't take the criticism wrong..and KEEP at it! Wink

as I was telling Hoykun, my first sig was laughable, only thing wrong here is the text is too big like Seattle said, although I do feel that text somewhat fits your context, it has a navy feel to it, so I have to disagree with Seattle from that aspect. Good job though man, and if you want to use the same program the graphic team uses, Photoshop, PM and I will tell you instructions on how to get it.

Nice sig there I also Agree w/ seattle there. The Text is way overpowering to the rest of the sig, perhaps where it says resistance is futile maybe make that real small and put a black stroke around it at 1pt.

Pretty good for your first time.  I'd tend to agree that the text needs to be tweaked.  Other than that.......Good job!!
