hey gus I woke up this morning and my grapics were all messed up the error said something about the gamma being out of range or no gamma available I have a ati X700 pro grapics card and I have a samsung lcd monitor.  I almost want to say the grapics card is shot.  Its only display in a 4 bit resolution I tried to change it to a 32 bit but it will not change and it going back to the 4 bit resolution.  I am at work right now.  When I go home tonight I am going to try my old monitor and see if that changes anything.  Then if that doensn't change I guess it will be the card.  The pic looks like a negitive.  Black and white colors seem to be right.  I tried to adjust the monitor my pressing the bottons underneth and the display and seemed to be very clear font.  I am searching the the net with little to no luck thanks guys

Try booting in safe mode fist that will tell you if your monitor or card is shot or if its a driver issue. If everything works just fine in safe mode then I would start but uninstalling your current driver and reinstalling it.

If its not the driver start with the monitor as you said you would. If that dosnt work most video card company's offer a lifetime warranty. I have BFG they will send me a new one for$25 after I get the new I get a free shipping labble to send the old one to them so look into that.

Hey Smile do you have a PCI Express slot or a AGP slot for the video card?  I might have a video card that willl work.  Also someone else might have a better video card available for you.
